... Venezia 12 aug. 2006, after show
MEETING CAREFUL53
My name is Danilo, I was born in Turin, Italy, quite a few years ago
(try to guess it from my nickname...).
My
interest towards Pink Floyd, that soon should have to become devotion, started
in the very early seventies, when I heard Eugene's scream
for the first time as Ummagumma was playing at a schoolmate's party...
The first rock concert I attended (not the Floyds, sadly)
was the epic King Crimson in november 1973 - an unforgettable night of wonder
and excitement.
Just to stick to the roaring seventies, besides many rock/prog bands like
Gentle Giant, Van Der Graaf Generator, Soft Machine, Traffic,
as well as PFM and Banco (to mention just a pair of fine italian groups),
I was lucky to see Genesis in 1974 and 1975, with the magic of their
"Selling England By The Pound" and "The Lamb" shows.
1988 brought, at last, Pink Floyd's return to Italy after 17 years, with
the "AMLOR" tour. The dream became reality... thus I couldn't
miss the show in Torino and two nights in Modena, then the "Another
Lapse" tour '89 with
two nights in the roman Arena of Verona (the most beautiful venue),
Monza, Lausanne and the floating show in Venezia...
Finally, the "Division Bell" tour '94 in Torino, Modena and Roma.
Attending David Gilmour's 2006 concerts in Milano and Venezia, and Roger
Waters concerts in Verona and Lucca, as well as Assago 2007, is
today's history...
